Cit de Marie is a snowy fictional world that was created from the topography of the Laurentians in Qubec, where I grew up. Often deserted from human presence, the landscapes are a backdrop for a strange narrative, or a setting for projections of the unconscious. We find ourselves waiting for an unknown dramatic event, where the outside of the camera’s field is as enigmatic as the image itself.
