Inspired by Carson McCullers’ Southern small town tale, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, and by Jr. Kimbrough’s hazy recordings from North Mississippi, Another Day in Paradise is poetic look at the rural Amerian South. This collection of portraits and landscapes were made throughout The Hill Country: a somewhat fictional region situated between Memphis, TN and New Orleans, LA, where men wear camouflage and “Honk If You’re Horny!” is painted on highway overpasses. Another Day in Paradise was self published in the Spring of 2018 and nominated for the MACK First Book Award.
